HUGE Birthday Haul Pt.2 - The Other Stuff...

I can't believe how far away my birthday seems now! So crazy! I feel like I'm writing these post's super late, however I've been waiting on some things being delivered hence why I've postponed it!
Instead of boring you with a big introduction I'm just gonna get straight into it!☺

First off, my tattoos! In my wishlist I put a photo in of a hint of what my big tattoo was going to be and in case you're still wondering what it is; it's the rose from the Beauty and The Beast with a stained glass window effect in a gorgeous frame on the front of my thigh! It isn't finished yet as I'm not tough enough to sit for hours but it's coming along nicely so far! I did get a few other little ones but I'm gonna do a whole post on my tattoo's once this one is finished!☺

This was one of my favourite gifts to get! Seeing that precious blue box that every girl wishes for was such a surprise to get! My family from Australia got me this Tiffany & Co. Necklace which makes it extra special to me as I don't get to see them as much, it's nice that this will always make me think of them!☺♥

Another jewellery item I got was this gorgeous ring that my Nanna gave me, it was one of hers, it's real pearl which is also my birthstone! My Nanna is like my best friend & I'll definitely treasure this ring forever, it's super gorgeous & so classy, I love it!♥

Keeping with the jewellery theme, I got the top pieces from a friend (along with other bits, thanks Jen!) I love them, I've been wearing the necklace loads with collared shirts, just gives it a nice touch!
The earrings below, I bought myself from River Island (with my birthday money though!) I thought the design was gorgeous & they look 10x better in person, the only downside is that they're really heavy in your ears so I couldn't wear these for too long!

So... I kinda went a little crazy for chunky/silver/holographic shoes & got 3 different pairs, oops!
The ones at the back are platform heels with a cleated sole which were from La Moda, the middle pair are actually from Primark, they're more of an everyday shoe however I probably would wear these out aswell as I get sick of heels sometimes, lastly the front pair are from Firetrap, they're silver sparkly flat form trainers & were on sale on the USC website so I had to get them!♥

UGH, My favourite pair of shoes that I got are these A Go Go heels by Kat Von D! I know they're probably not everyone's taste but they are mine & I'm obsessed with them I just can't wait until I have an excuse to wear them with  these false nails from Little Mix's collection too cos they totally match my shoes☺ (yes I like my nails to co-ordinate with my shoes lol).

My recent obsession lately has been Dexter! So I obviously had to get the box set! If you're into crime/gore and hot guys, this is the right TV series for you! haha. I'm totally obsessed & it never fails to get me on edge! Since I took a trip into HMV to get the box set, I also has a realisation that I barely owned any Disney DVD's... so I got 5! I couldn't believe that I didn't own these already so I just got them since I had the money for them haha.

OK, if you know me, you might know that I have a little obsession with Michael Jackson, so obviously I HAD to get Xscape, duh!♥ I've listened to this album so much since I got it, I'm just in love with this man's music! A Place With No Name has to be my favourite! Give it a listen, it's such a great album & who doesn't love a bit of MJ?!

Last but not least, I got this gorgeous 'Birthday Girl' glass from my friend Chelsey and the bottle of Jack Daniel's from my friend Emily as she knew it's my favourite - what a babe! I'm honestly shocked I haven't drank the bottle by now though!♥

There was quite a few bits & bobs that I missed out but I didn't want to make this 2 part post even longer and bore you all to death! I just wanted to share my favourite presents that I got!
I'm super grateful for everything I got & I just want to make a quick disclaimer & say that I am in no way bragging, I just know that people really enjoy reading these kind of posts & having a nosey at what people got for their birthday (as do I!)☺

Anyway thanks for reading, leave me some comments!♥
Also please let me know if there's certain products from both posts that you'd like to know more about or anything!☺

HUGE Birthday Haul Pt.1 - The Beauty Bits...

Incase you didn't realise from my other posts, I turned 18 just 2 weeks ago! And since turning 18 is kind of a big deal (well it is to me & my family anyway)  that meant I got lots of presents & I also bought myself a lot of gifts too (oops!)
I see Birthday Haul's floating around all the time & since I got so many exciting things this year, I thought this would be the ideal birthday to do one myself! I might as well just get straight into it & just give brief little opinions/reviews 'cause it's gonna be a loooong post & that's after I've split it into 2 parts! And if you read my wishlist post which was also rather long, you would've seen there was quite a lot of things that I wanted haha!☺

On my wishlist, I hoped for either a Chanel or YSL lipstick and after a very very hard long decision, I went with this! Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet in 38 La Fascinante and wow, I'm so glad I did! This is perfect classic red in my opinion! But not only is the colours beautiful, the formula and the packaging make it 50x better, I wore this for my birthday meal & after 3 courses of food & drinks, my lipstick had barely faded, I didn't need to top up at all! 100% recommend!♥

I've been after these 3 little beauties for ages now & I eventually got them! Hallelujah! I've used these so much in the short time I've had them, the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette is perfect if you love bare eyes or I normally use bare matte shades when I do a winged liner look!
I'm not gonna lie, I am slightly dissapointed with the Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray as it doesn't control my oily-ness at all, however it definitely holds my make up in place, but as for the oil control? very disappointing!
As for the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara, I wish I'd picked this up months ago! I take a bit of pride in my bottom lashes (lol totes vain) as I think mine are really long & I could never ever even think about not wearing mascara on them. Because this has such a tiny brush, it literally coats each lash so perfectly & there is no mess whatsoever! love love LOVE!♥

I have been super super excited about the Kelly & Sharon Osbourne MAC Collection ever since I heard it was coming out! So about a week before the online release date, I went to my local MAC counter & asked when they would be selling it in store which the girl told me that it'd be Thursday the 12th, so I got up super early & went first thing in the morning & took a 45 minute bus ride before work just so I could get the items I wanted, when I got there, it was sold out! I was sooo angry/upset, as they obviously weren't going on sale that day & had 2 days before! However I still got the Kelly Osbourne Lipstick in Kelly Yum Yum & Sharon Osbournes Patent Polish Lip Pencil in Patent Pink, thinking I'd like them but I actually don't see myself ever wearing these, so if you're on depop I'm selling/swapping these! I'm so gutted & angry with MAC!
Sorry for the long life story there, but even though I was mad about that girl lying about the collection release date, there was still 2 bits I wanted, I picked up the Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre and a Lipglass in Oyster Girl, I love both these products, but I don't think I'll ever buy from that MAC store again (here comes another story sorry) but as I was looking at the Lipglass stand aswell a girl who worked there just totally ignored me & spun the stand around which I was clearly looking at! Then I was stood by the Paint Pot stand & there was a MAC girl watching me whilst she put some stock into the draw just underneath, yet she never once acknowledged me or anything. This isn't the first time something like that has happened and they're always so rude to me & I always feel like they look down on me as if they're better, so I just wanna say, SCREW YOU SNOBBY MAC GIRLS, YOU WON'T BE HAVING MY CUSTOM AGAIN!

Sorry about that rant... I'll get back onto the subject haha!

My Real Techniques Brush Collection is now complete! I got the Silicone Liner Brush & the Travel Essentials Kit I've been after these for ages to complete my little collection, so unless they bring out more amazing brushes, I finally have all the Real Techniques Brushes that I wanted! YAY!☺

I got a few little bits from Collection including: Gothic Glam Lipstick, Glam Crystals Glitter Eyeliner in Glitz, Luscious Lashes & 2 Limited Edition Lip Blams from the Mardi Gras Collection! I really like all these products & they're so good for such affordable prices!♥

I was going to get the Urban Decay Electric Palette, however after I thought about it, I told myself that I'd probably never use it as I'm not a massive user of bright colours, I always stick to quite nude colours etc, so I didn't want to spend about £40 on a palette that I mightn't even get use out of! But when I went into Superdrug I spotted this MUA Pallette in Poptastic which to me, is very similar, but since it's only £4, I'm not bothered if I don't use it much, but this summer I am going to push myself to wear more colour & I might even write up a post on how to do a really bright look, so keep a look out!♥

Another thing(s) I picked up from Superdrug was this combo! I've used the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the past & loved it but since my skin hasn't been too spotty I thought I'd try it out again and even though I haven't been getting as many spots, my skin has still been super oily so I thought I'd try out the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer to see if it controls my oil a bit, which I personally don't think it works too well, but I'm definitely less oily when I've got this on underneath my foundation!☺

OK so this isn't exactly beauty but it is perfume so I guess it kind of is? Anyway, my best friend Steph got me this Katy Perry Killer Queen Perfume after she'd saw on my wishlist post that I'd wanted it, so she is such a little a gem for getting my this, so thank you very much if you're reading Stephy! ;-)
It smells absolutely gorgeous, the bottle is amazing & it's by Katy Perry so what more could you want?

Anyway, thanks for reading if you made it this far! I'll Post Part 2 of my big birthday haul next week!
Please leave me some comments to reply to and let me know if there is any specific products you'd like a more detailed review on!☺

MOTD: My Birthday Party - Hawaiian Themed!

So yes, in case you didn't know, it's been my birthday! And what a lovely little birthday I've had! I've been super busy & done loads hence why this post is a week late! Ooops! Now that it's over and done with I'll have more time again which means I will be posting more regularly & I have many posts planned already, including a huuuuuuge birthday haul which I might even split into 2 separate posts (yes, it's going to be that long!) So keep your eyes peeled for plenty of upcoming and exciting posts!♥

On to the subject of this post anyway, one of the things I did for my birthday was host a little Hawaiian themed party, it was basically just me & around 10 close friends, sitting in the garden getting a little too drunk whilst dressed up in flower garlands etc!☺

This was my favourite photo of us all!♥

Even though the dress code was clearly very bold & wacky, I just kept my make up very summery & fairly natural, here's a few close up's...

Excuse the gormless face in this one!

Some Make Up Details Include:
L'Oreal True Match Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer, MUA Undress Me Highlighter, Maybelline Brow Drama, Urban Decay Half Baked Eyeshadow, MUA Lipstick in 'Nectar', Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara & Primark Eyelashes!♥

Also, my dress was from Select, My hawaiian shirt was from Primark (in the Men's section!) and my flower garland was from Tesco!♥

Also, here's a few fun photo's that were took☺

For some reason, we thought eating sand would be a fun idea... yeah....
just posing with my tatt, casual...
I had such a fun day/night & the best birthday!
And  I know I keep ending my posts with apologies & promising I will post more, but I mean it this time!!
Anyway, thanks for reading, feel free to leave me some comments to reply to!

My Birthday Wishlist!

My 18th Birthday is finally approaching! (June 3rd) I literally can't wait, I've got so much planned, it's going to be such a good Birthday!♥
Anyway, I see a lot of other bloggers posting their 'Wishlists' and since there's so much I want (oops) & considering it's a rather big birthday, I thought I'd just share this with the world! Why not! (also this can drop hints to any family & friends reading hehe)☺

1. My Party!

I don't always do something big like a party on my birthday but since it's a 'special' one, I wanted to!
I decided to have a Hawaiian/Summer themed, Garden BBQ Party with all my close friends!
It'll basically consist of cocktails, cocktails and erm, more cocktails! There will obviously be food & other beverages etc but mainly, cocktails hehe!☺

2. Tattoos

For me, this is the most exciting! I've always been a huge lover of tattoos & have had my ideas & designs planned for absolutely ages now! I've already booked up to get my first on the 5th! What I'm getting is inspired by the photo above! I will include a photo when it's done, either in a post or I'll definitely upload it to my Twitter or Instagram! I know I'll end up getting others too so I might even do a whole post based on my tattoos!♥

3. Driving Lessons!

Ok, so I won't be driving a Beetle but it is my dream car! Even though I've been legal to start driving for a year, I have always kind of put it off because of the cost, but since it's a big birthday my mam & dad have agreed to pay for lessons! I also won a 2 hour beginner lesson with the driving instructor who'll I'll be learning with which is a great start! I've already sent off for my provisional but I'm just waiting for Health forms since I had childhood epilepsy, but being over 5 years seizure free means I should be fit to get on the roads!☺

4. Holographic Heels!

Now, I haven't found an exact pair that I want, I just know I NEED a pair of these beauty's! I know they mightn't be to everyone's taste but I think they're absolutely stunning! Also, turning 18 will mean many nights out to come so I'll be needing some pretty heels and preferably a nice little holographic clutch bag to go with them!♥

5. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

I've been after this for AGES and I actually purchased this off someone on the Depop app but I still haven't received it so I'm assuming I've been scammed! (Oh well!) I wear matte shades quite often when I want a simple look & I just love the formula of Urban Decay's eye shadow, so I really want this to complete my Naked Palette Collection as I have all 3 of the main ones too!

6. Chanel & YSL Lipstick

I'm not a one for really high end lipsticks but since it's my birthday, it'd be rude to not want one! ;)
I've heard amazing things about both of these lipsticks so I'll probably decided which I get depending on the shades!

7. Kelly & Sharon Osbourne's MAC Collection!

Ever since I heard this was being launched, I knew I would want something from it!
This actually comes out just after my Birthday so I'm going to keep birthday money & stuff aside to splurge on mainly Kelly's collection! If you haven't seen the photo's of their products, Google it NOW! I'm mainly lusting over Kelly's Lavender Lipstick, it looks gorgeous! I'm super super excited to hopefully grab some pieces from such an amazing collection!♥

8. NYX Cosmetics Macaron Lippies

I don't care if you're not a fan of colourful lippies, because I surely am and these colours from NYX are just super... WOW. The colours I want are: Key Lime, Blue Velvet, Violet, Pistachio, Citron, Earl Grey, Black Sesame and Coconut! Since getting my braces off, I've felt like I can wear brighter & bolder lipsticks too! Ugh, I can't stress enough how beautiful these are!♥ However, they're only available in the US! BUT I'm actually really interested in doing a Beauty Box Swap with someone in America (hint hint any American followers!)♥

9. The Balm's Lou Manizer Highlighters!

I've seen so many people talking about these, the colours are so lovely and since I don't own a lot of highlighters these 3 would make a good addition to my collection! I'll probably ask my Family from Australia to get me these as they're cheaper & easier to get out there! Yippee!☺

10. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow - Dark Brown

I've been wanting to pick this little wonder up for ages now, I've seen so many different people using it & it just looks so amazing, I have been taking more time & putting more effort in with my brows lately so I just think I'll use this plenty and hopefully love it!♥

A Few Extras:

a few other bits I quite fancy are: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, Too Faced Blusher's, Too Face Boudoir Palette, Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil Set, Mac Soft Ochre Paint Pot, Mac Russian Red Lipstick, Mac Jubilee Lipstick, Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, Urban Decay Electric Palette & Katy Perry Killer Queen Perfume.

These are just a bunch of my 'must haves' around my birthday. I'll probably do a big birthday haul post to show you if I did get all of these & the rest! However, I'm in no way expecting everything off this list it's just things I'd really like to receive or eventually buy myself!☺

Braces: My Experience...

Back in May 2013 I got braces! When they did the X-ray's before hand they told me that I had short roots, meaning that if my teeth are 'pulled' too much & for too long they're more prone to falling out! And since braces kinda of pull your teeth, this meant I had to have them taken off earlier, which I was totally fine about!
I absolutely hated having my braces on, they were uncomfortable, made my mouth feel unclean and were such a pain! So as of May 14th 2014, I am brace free! YAY!♥

Instead of listing the obvious benefits & the actual feeling of braces etc, I thought I'd just show you my amazing before and after pictures!☺

This is before and about 6 months in...
As you can see, my teeth were really wonky, I know they mightn't be bad compared to other but they were still bad enough to be referred for braces! Also you can see just around 6 months of having the braces, they'd already started to straighten and look even!☺

BUT they look even better after a whole year later!♥

I still can't believe the difference, they look so different! I'm absolutely over the moon with my results & I haven't stopped licking my teeth since (LOL!) However, having them off early meant that I then had to get a small wire fitted behind my 6 front teeth just to keep them straight since they were the most problematic! I also have a clear removable retainer which I'm supposed to wear full time for 3 months (which I must admit I haven't been doing) but I have been wearing it around the house & for bed, it just looks too silly to wear in public!

So yeah, smiling with teeth is my new favourite pose! Expect to see me grinning with my new teeth in A LOT more blog posts in the future!☺

Feel free to leave comments & ask any questions! I'll reply to all!♥

MOTN: Katy Perry Concert...

On Saturday the 10th, I went to see Katy Perry live on her Prismatic World Tour in Newcatsle, Metro Radio Arena, and OH MY GOSH, BEST. NIGHT. EVER.
I'm quite a fan of Katy & have loved her ever since I first heard IKAG. In 2011 I saw her on her California Dreams Tour which was so perfect so I didn't hesitate in buying tickets when I saw she was touring again! And wow oh wow, this tour just totally topped her last one! The stage, the set, the lights, the costumes, the... EVERYTHING, ugh, it was just too good to put into words! Me & my friend are now trying to win every competition possible to go to her other shows as we can't afford to actually buy more tickets (especially including hotels & travel etc) so fingers crossed!♥
I thought I'd include some of my favourite photos I took just so you can see how amazing she looked & what her costumes etc were like...

Anywaaaaay... since seeing so many people dressing up & making an effort for her shows, I kinda thought to myself; "I want to, too!". I wasn't too keen on the idea of getting totally dressed up in a full on costume & when she brought out her video for Darkhorse, the idea of going all 'Egyptian' just stuck with me and since it didn't really require going all out on costume or accessories, I just did it with things I already had. ☺

I based my idea around this look from her Darkhorse music video, this one interested me most & I thought it seemed quite achievable too, so I gave it my best shot...

Obviously, mine didn't look as good as Katy Perry's but I'm in no way a make up artist - just putting that out there! But also I didn't have any glitter to make the colours sparkle like Katy's, also I ended up rushing and didn't have time to perfect my eyeliner and add any to my lash line (oops!). Another thing, I cropped out my lips as they photographed awfully & looked really not nice at all! I used MUA's Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Kooky which I will not recommend at all, the colour is amazing but the formula is awful! So I ended up wearing a different purple lipstick instead!
But overall, I'm actually pretty pleased with how it turned out, a few people complimented me on it also!♥

I also wore a gold head piece from River Island (I bought it  ages ago! Sorry!) and a kind of Aztec print dress which was from Republic along with my leather biker jacket & red converse to keep it comfy & warm since I was queueing all day!

The products I used on my face were:
Primer: Benefit Porefessional
Foundation: A mix of Borjouis Healthy Mix & L'Oreal True Match - to get the right shade.
Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection
Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte
Blush: MUA 'Cupcake'
Contour & Highlight: Sleek Face Contour Kit
Eyebrows: Seventeen's Brow's That! Kit
Eye Shadow: 'Half Baked' from Urban Decay Naked Palette, 'Snobby' from The Balm's Nude Tude Palette and Bare Minerals Eye Shadow in 'Grape' and 'Angel'
Eye Liner: L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim & Maybelline Master Drama Gel Liner
Eyelashes: Eylure Katy Perry Colour Pop in KA-POW (the purple ones)
Mascara: Maybelline Big Eyes

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed reading!
Feel free to leave comments & if you are going to see/already seen Katy live, I'd love to hear about your experience & mainly, what you wore!☺

OOTD + MOTD: Wedding Edition...

On Thursday, me and my parents attended my Dad's cousin's wedding which was absolutely beautiful, it started at 5pm & consisted of a short but sweet ceremony, followed by afternoon tea including Presseco, Sandwiches and cakes/scones (so British I know) then it was just basically a party after that with a buffet in between, but also they had a dress up area with a photo booth which I thought was a great idea as it got everyone up out their seats & having a laugh! This is the photo me & my mam & dad got...
I totally suit blue hair right?
Anyway, onto my outfit & make up...
We were told to wear more like party clothes than occasion wear (which is perfect for me!) I still ended up having a huge toddler tantrum as I failed to find something to wear after searching the Metro Centre a good 3 times! In the end, I got my whole outfit (excluding shoes) from Select AND it cost me under £50! I was actually really pleased when I found these even though it's a bit different for me as I always wear black or dark colours but I just thought that it looked so pretty, girly & summery, so why not? Plus it went with my gorgeous shoes that I got for my Prom in 2012 and I'm still so in love with them!☺

Peach Floral Biker Jacket £22, White Floral Print Dress £15
Floral Lace Bag £10, Nail Varnish is Barry M Gelly in 'Papaya' £3.99, Boots.

Irregular Choice, £89.99 *They're not sold anymore*
As for make up, I kept it rather girly & pink-y to kinda go with my outfit, I'll list all products used below...

Fake Tan: St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse used on my neck & body
Primer: Benefit Porefessional on my T-zone + Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer on the rest of my face
Foundation: L'Oreal True Match Foundation in N3 Creamy Beige
Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light + Benefit Boi-ing
Bronzer: The Balm Bahama Mama
Blush: Illamasqua Blush in Hussy
Highlight: Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light
Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte
Eyebrows: Seventeen 'Brows That' Kit + Maybelline Brow Drama Mascara in Medium Brown
Eyes: Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold + A mix of 'Dust' 'Limit' 'Trick' 'Liar' 'Factory' and 'Blackheart' from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette + Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Eyeliner in Nude
Eyelashes: Salon System Natural
Mascara: Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara
Lips: Face Of Australia Lipstick in Lychee Crush + Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer in Luna

I have another 4 weddings (mainly night receptions) throughout the year, so be prepared for more posts like this one, I thought it'd be nice to show off what I wore & hopefully it might give others some ideas if you have any weddings or even just parties coming up!☺

Feel free to leave any comments & ask any questions...
Thanks for reading☺
